Position Description: Seeking organic gardening services (permaculture-inspired is a plus) for Fall Naturescaping and Edible Projects. Gardening services needed include:

Removal/control of invasive plants;
Sheet mulching and/or spreading of compost & mulches;
Placing erosion control materials on sloped areas;
Hand weeding and grooming;
Pruning small trees & shrubs &ndash up to 10 feet;
Seasonal garden clean-ups;
Review and interpretation of planting plans;
Identification & planting of native trees, shrubs, and groundcovers;
Creation of simple walking paths and sitting areas;
Building raised vegetable beds, worm bins, arbors/trellises;
Spreading compost, bark mulch, and/or rocks.
Design, Installation, & Maintenance of Edible Plants (Veggies, Herbs, Fruit, etc.)
Design, Installation, & Maintenance of Rain Gardens

Skills & Abilities: Solid knowledge and skills in the above-mentioned gardening services needed. Previous gardening work experience required. May work solo or with a team of gardeners (we sometimes garden with homeowners as well). Jobs are generally located within the city of Seattle. Best character match for position: person who is responsible, self-directed, honest, efficient, good problem solver and communicator, and a team player. Expected to have your own hand tools and transportation for each job. We strive to carpool to job sites when it makes sense.

Pay Range: $15 - $20/hr., to be paid in a lump sum upon completion of each contracted landscaping job. Pay rate depends upon level of experience.

If references show a good match, then projects will be offered as appropriate.
